Delta May Charge a Baggage fee for Curbside Check-In
Delta at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta may charge around $2 per bag for people who decide to check in at the curb rather than checking in inside the airport, according to an article by the AJC.com. Currently there is no fee for this Delta service in Atlanta; travelers are expected to tip skycap personnel. Apparently, Delta is planning to outsource the skycap service to a third party company, eliminating skycap jobs (the existing workers can continue on with the new company or get another job within Delta).
