Free Arts Events in April
There’s no reason to be bored in Atlanta. Get some exercise and an art lesson through the Turner First Thursday Downtown Artswalk, a self-guided art tour held the first and third Thursday of every month. An upcoming exhibit, Shadowdance by Keiko Guest is on display during a special evening Artswalk from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 3rd at the Rialto Center for Arts at Georgia State University. Shadowdance is a series of black and white photographs displaying dancers in suspended motion. Shadowdance will be on display through April 11 during regular hours. So, in addition to the Artswalk, you can visit the exhibit from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by appointment at the Rialto Center. Call 404-413-9820 if you would like to make an appointment to see the exhibit outside of regular hours.
Lunchtime Learning Performing Arts Series
Feed your senses during the Lunchtime Learning Performing Arts Series on April 16th from Noon to 1 p.m. Bring your lunch or spend $5 for some grub. Otherwise, this cultural event is free at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University. Have lunch and enjoy a speaker or artist for an insider’s look into the craft.
