This holiday I plan to spend time relaxing and maybe doing my doggy paddle thing in the pool at the Four Seasons. Apparently, the Four Seasons has a saline pool, which is probably healthier than the chlorine pools that we are used to. I plan to give the pool a try and maybe have a little food poolside, so I&#8217;ll be sure to tell you about my experience and if the saline pool is worth the visit. </p> <p>The Four Seasons is a luxury hotel, located at 75 Fourteenth Street in Atlanta. There are 244 guest rooms and 18 suites. Rates vary but start at around $330 per nigh for a standard room from May to December on weekends. The rates go up to $930 per night for a&nbsp; one bedroom suite for that time frame at the Four Seasons.&nbsp; For weekdays, rates start at $490 per night for a standard room and go up to $930 per night for a suite. </p> <p>Standard rooms have living rooms, marble bathrooms, deep tubs and brass fixtures. The rooms have either one king or two twin beds.</p> <p>One bedroom suites have a living room with a separate bedroom. The sitting area has a television, CD player and stereo, and a wet bar. The rooms also have beautiful views of the Atlanta skyline.</p> <p>Take your visit to the next level by getting services at the spa at the Four Seasons Hotel. Massages, Swedish, aromatherapy, deep massages, tai, destress, and couple massages are offered. Rates range from $70 for a 25-minute destress massage to $350 for an 80-minute couples massage.</p> <p>I visited the Four Seasons in London, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I can&#8217;t wait to try out the saline pool. What has your experience been like at the Four Seasons? Have you ever swam in a saline pool? What was it like? Tell me in a comment!</p> <p>Post from: <a href="http://www.theatlantatraveler.com">The Atlanta Traveler</a></p> ]]></content:encoded> <wfw:commentRss>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/05/the-four-seasons-hotel-in-atlanta/feed/</wfw:commentRss> <slash:comments>0</slash:comments> </item> <item> <title>Atlanta Development: Hotels in the Horizon</title> <link>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/04/atlanta-development-hotels-in-the-horizon/</link> <comments>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/04/atlanta-development-hotels-in-the-horizon/#comments</comments> <pubDate>Tue, 22 Apr 2008 00:04:40 +0000</pubDate> <dc:creator></dc:creator> <category><![CDATA[Lodging]]></category> <category><![CDATA[News]]></category> <guid isPermaLink="false">http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/atlanta-development-hotels-in-the-horizon/</guid> <description><![CDATA[As the saying goes, there’s always something new planned in Atlanta. My guest and I were politely asked to leave before our agreed upon checkout time. Even after I explained that I had a confirmed late checkout time. The front desk person, who came to the room to urge us along, did not believe me even when I told her about the review in The Atlanta Traveler. She asked me what was the manager&#8217;s name. By that time, we said forget it and started packing our things! In all fairness, I must report that the manager said that this sort of thing does not happen often, and we all make mistakes. He sent two complimentary passes to go horseback riding at the resort.&nbsp; That&#8217;s a nice gesture. I don&#8217;t know when I&#8217;d venture back up there, though. I just wish that their buffet was closer to Atlanta. Again, thanks to the Chef for preparing such a fabulous meal for my beau, Alan, who was celebrating his birthday. The dinner brunch is yummy, too. </p> <p> <div class="wlWriterSmartContent" id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:9b932f08-871c-437d-89e9-32e45b8760a6" style="padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; float: none; padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-top: 0px"> <div id="e543c6ce-5569-4c60-9694-d2929fdc09d2" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; display: inline;"> <div><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfBTDqy9rUc&amp;hl=en" target="_new"><img src="http://b5media_b4.s3.amazonaws.com/34/files/2008/04/videoa6564e329322.jpg" galleryimg="no" onload="var downlevelDiv = document.getElementById('e543c6ce-5569-4c60-9694-d2929fdc09d2'); downlevelDiv.innerHTML = &quot;&lt;div&gt;&lt;object width=\&quot;425\&quot; height=\&quot;355\&quot;&gt;&lt;param name=\&quot;movie\&quot; value=\&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/kfBTDqy9rUc&amp;hl=en\&quot;&gt;&lt;\/param&gt;&lt;param name=\&quot;wmode\&quot; value=\&quot;transparent\&quot;&gt;&lt;\/param&gt;&lt;embed src=\&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/kfBTDqy9rUc&amp;hl=en\&quot; type=\&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash\&quot; wmode=\&quot;transparent\&quot; width=\&quot;425\&quot; height=\&quot;355\&quot;&gt;&lt;\/embed&gt;&lt;\/object&gt;&lt;\/div&gt;&quot;;" alt=""></a></div> </div> <p><label style="font-size:.8em;">Breakfast and brunch at Brasstown Valley</label></div> </p> <p><font size="1">Photo and video by Claudine Williams</font></p> <div class="wlWriterSmartContent" id="scid:0767317B-992E-4b12-91E0-4F059A8CECA8:eabbc52b-eb37-4023-b764-5c2d4a995f0a" style="padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-top: 0px">Technorati Tags: <a href="http://technorati.com/tags/Brasstown%20valley" rel="tag">Brasstown valley</a>,<a href="http://technorati.com/tags/resort" rel="tag">resort</a>,<a href="http://technorati.com/tags/atlanta" rel="tag">atlanta</a>,<a href="http://technorati.com/tags/brunch" rel="tag">brunch</a>,<a href="http://technorati.com/tags/weekend%20getaway" rel="tag">weekend getaway</a></div> <p>Post from: <a href="http://www.theatlantatraveler.com">The Atlanta Traveler</a></p> ]]></content:encoded> <wfw:commentRss>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/04/weekend-at-brasstown-valley/feed/</wfw:commentRss> <slash:comments>1</slash:comments> </item> <item> <title>A Green Getaway for Romance</title> <link>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/02/a-green-getaway-for-romance/</link> <comments>http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/2008/02/a-green-getaway-for-romance/#comments</comments> <pubDate>Sun, 10 Feb 2008 04:58:37 +0000</pubDate> <dc:creator></dc:creator> <category><![CDATA[Great Places to Unwind]]></category> <category><![CDATA[Great Walks]]></category> <category><![CDATA[Lodging]]></category> <category><![CDATA[Scenic & Short Trips]]></category> <guid isPermaLink="false">http://www.theatlantatraveler.com/a-green-getaway-for-romance/</guid> <description><![CDATA[A stay at the Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge is just perfect for couples who love the great outdoors.
