Take a look at this video that I made of a ritzy suite in the Omni Hotel downtown. Who lived in this two-story suite? How much does it cost to rent this pad? Well, I gave the answers away early in the video. Watch it and find out. These days, the room is rented out to bigwigs who are visiting for fun or company executives who are in town for a conference.

Located at 190 Marietta Street, the Omni Hotel is a four diamond hotel in Atlanta. The hotel is centrally located near Atlanta attractions like the CNN Center, the Georgia Aquarium, the New World of Coca Cola, Phillips Arena, the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Park. The Westin Peachtree Hotel at 210 Peachtree Street  is one of Atlanta’s most popular hotels, due to its revolving rooftop restaurant called the SunDial restaurant. Located on the top of the hotel,  the SunDial restaurant actually spins (very slowly) so you get brilliant views of the city below. The restaurant is suitable for both fine dining and casual dining.

This is actually a preview to a review that I will write on the Memorial Day holiday. This holiday I plan to spend time relaxing and maybe doing my doggy paddle thing in the pool at the Four Seasons. Apparently, the Four Seasons has a saline pool, which is probably healthier than the chlorine pools that we are used to. I plan to give the pool a try and maybe have a little food poolside, so I’ll be sure to tell you about my experience and if the saline pool is worth the visit.

As the saying goes, there’s always something new planned in Atlanta. This year is no different. Several hotels are opening in Atlanta by the end of the year, and at least two more Atlanta hotels are planned for the Buckhead area next year.
Three New W Hotels
Three new W Hotels are scheduled to open in Atlanta this year. These Atlanta hotels will open in Buckhead, Downtown and Midtown. The Buckhead location will open this fall with 291 rooms and 7,000-square-feet of meeting space.
This December, a 237-room W hotel with 75 condominiums will open in the Ivan Allen Plaza.

The best things about Brasstown Valley resort in Young Harris, Georgia were  the food and the views. The resort is approximately three hours from Atlanta. I visited Brasstown Valley for a weekend getaway and review. I stayed in the hotel, but reported a black spot on my stay. My guest and I were politely asked to leave before our agreed upon checkout time. Even after I explained that I had a confirmed late checkout time. A stay at the Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge is just perfect for couples who love the great outdoors. Alternatively, if you want to keep in shape, you can go hiking in the park instead of, or in addition to a gym workout. I’m terrified of heights, but even I enjoy a nice easy hike, especially if I’m with a nice strong date. Now that’s what I call a Valentine’s surprise. The Hotel Indigo in Atlanta has a Valentine’s package which includes a stay at the hotel, breakfast, a bottle of Dom Perignon and, you won’t believe this, a 1.5 caret ring.  Yep. The ring is included.  The wedding is not included. The Proposal Package at the Hotel Indigo is available through Feb. 16. Reservations, however must be made five days in advance. Hotel Indigo is a luxury hotel located in 12 cities in the U.S.  There are apparently, 60 future locations planned.
