The B5Media network:

Happy King Day!

Hello everyone. I am Claudine, the new Atlanta Travel blogger. I’m glad to be aboard and sharing the King holiday with you.

I just wanted to let you know that Martin Luther King’s birth home at 501 Auburn Ave. will be open until 6 p.m. tonight. Those of you who are in Atlanta must note, that while you see the outside of the house from the sidewalk, a tour guide must allow you into the home. The last tour ends at 5 p.m.  I suggest that you go to the visitor’s center at the King historic site, 450 Auburn Ave., to get tour information.  The tours fill up quickly, so call the King Center at 404-331-5190 to make sure that they still are taking people on tours. Tours are limited to 15 people at a time.  Do you want to wander around Martin Luther King’s hometown?  Here’s a map of the Sweet Auburn area.

Welcome aboard, Claudine! I was born in Atlanta, lived there the first couple of years of my life, and now have tons of family remaining in the area.

I’m psyched to see what you’ll be blogging about, so I plan to stop by often (even if you won’t necessarily realize it since I tend to be a lurker rather than a commenter).

    Good luck and have fun…

LOL. Thanks for the shout out, Chandra. I’ll see what you are up to in Boston, too!
