Delta 2007 International Series (of Performances)

This year marks the 18th season of the Delta International Series at the fabulous Fox Theater. There will be five international performances beginning October 29. Each performance showcases a specific country’s unique culture through theater arts. According to Allan Vela, general manager of The Fox Theater:

This series provides the opportunity to venture into different cultures through music, dance and songs from around the world. The program choices have been inspired by recommendations from international consuls and interested patrons, and we are thrilled to present this series to the Atlanta community.

The Fox Theater, also known as the Fabulous Fox, is an Atlanta landmark built in the 1920s. It was originally opened as the headquarters for the Yaarab Temple Shrine Mosque which explains the Islamic design. The appearance of Egyptian decor is also evident which was influenced by the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in 1922. The Fox Theater seats 4,678 and has been used for broadway plays, movies, and other performances.
